Security & privacy

Dipper is built to track prices, not you. Here's exactly how your data is handled.

What Dipper collects

  • The products you choose to track (their link, title, and price).
  • Your account details and preferences (email, alert settings).
  • A secure login token so the extension can add products to your account.

What Dipper does NOT collect

  • Your browsing history. Dipper only acts on product pages where you choose to track.
  • Payment card details — payments are handled by PayPal, not stored by us.
  • Anything to sell to third parties. We never sell your data.

How the extension reads prices

The Dipper extension reads a product page's title, price, and stock status locally, in your browser, to show you the tracker card. Nothing about a page is sent to our servers unless you click “Track.” That's also why Dipper works on stores that block ordinary price bots — see how it works.

Extension permissions

Dipper requests the minimum permissions it needs: reading the active tab when you invoke it, running a small one-time extractor to read the price, storing your login token locally, and connecting your account via a secure sign-in window. It does not run in the background collecting data.

Payments

Paid plans are billed securely through PayPal. You can cancel anytime from Manage billing.
